Hollingdean Parking

White Seat Leon

  • This Seat is another known non-resident vehicle. Unlike the innumerable commuter vehicles which use Hollingdean for 'free' parking as part of their commute (and therefore at least move every day); this is instead one of the hundreds of non-resident, 'stored' vehicles which clog up our streets.

  • This car is known not to move for several weeks at a time - one resident claimed it had been parked at the bottom of Hollingdean Place (near the Dip) for several weeks during the summer.

  • An eagle-eyed resident has pointed out that this vehicle still displays an expired resident permit in it's windscreen. However, this is now obfuscated as it has fallen behind the window.

  • This is a clear indicator that this is yet another case of a vehicle owner who has decided to leave their car here in Hollingdean instead of retaining a permit for the area that they actually live in.

  • As with most of these vehicles, the owner opts to park their vehicle as close as they can to transport links in Fiveways, adding even more congestion to the Westernmost corner of Hollingdean - an already extremely busy area due to the sheer number of non-residents doing exactly this.

  • There is a clear example of a selfish owner who does not have the basic wherewithal to be responsible for their vehicle; and yet another displaced vehicle clogging up our streets.
