Hollingdean Parking

White Ford Transit

  • During the Hollingdean parking survey, LR07 CZU - with its very distinctive graffiti paintwork - was mentioned frequently.

  • Residents recognise that it is often seen parked on a driveway in Parking Zone G, so it is safe to assume that a Hollingdean resident does not own it.

  • However, it is also regularly left parked awkwardly within Hollingdean for extended periods of time. As it is such a large vehicle, and the owner seems determined to park as close as they can to their own home on Hollingbury Road, they often leave it in unsuitable areas.

  • This includes being left overhanging neighbour's driveways, disabled spaces, and, on more than one occasion, fully blocking traffic down Adams Close by parking opposite other parked cars.

  • Despite the flamboyant paintwork, the van is in a very poor state of repair; the roof, in particular, is badly accident-damaged and rusting.

  • It was also noted that it had neither a valid MOT, nor tax, whilst still being kept on the public street.

  • It is unclear why the owner does not simply purchase a resident permit for their area rather than dumping it in Hollingdean.
