Hollingdean Parking

Grey Mazda 6

  • Seemingly visiting the local area once every two or three weeks, this Mazda parks immediately over the double yellows and the pavement at the junction between Hollingbury Crescent and Adams Close.

  • LV60 UVK is one of several cars that residents report regularly park in this manner, outside the same address in Hollingdean.

  • This is a difficult junction to navigate as a driver at the best of times due to the hill restricting visibility. However, the frequent visitors parking in this manner makes it impossible for those drivers to see oncoming traffic.

  • This is compounded by the fact that this vehicle often parks like this overnight when visibility is further reduced.

  • Parking like this also blocks the pavement; although a pedestrian could pass on foot, wheelchair users and buggies are forced out into the road in order to get around the car.

  • It is important to note that this vehicle does not (and has never) displayed a blue badge, although even displaying a blue badge would not allow parking in this manner.
